布萊斯堤德(James Henry Breasted)

1865~1935,考古學與歷史學家。生於美國伊利諾州，耶魯大學碩士、柏林大學博士，是第一位獲得埃及古物學（Egyptology）博士學位的美國人。布萊斯堤德曾任芝加哥大學東方歷史與埃及古物學教授，以及Haskell Oriental Museum執行長，曾於1923 年為美國政府遴選為國家科學院（National Academy of Sciences）院士。

著有《埃及歷史》（A History of Egypt from the Earliest Times to the Persian Conquest）、《古埃及記錄》（Ancient Records of Egypt）、《古埃及宗教與思想發展》（Development of Religion and Thought in Ancient Egypt）等多部著作。
