高詠微　Yungwei Kao

畢業於澳洲國立國家大學音樂系，從事兒童音樂教育六年多，婚後移居美國洛杉磯，目前致力兒童文學。

譯有童書繪本《羊咩咩是朋友不是晚餐》、《襪子襪子去哪裡？》、《小小牛仔迷路了》(以上皆由大於創意出版)。另有《惡女》、《發生在星期二的愛情故事》、《愛可》(以上皆由高寶集團出版)等小說作品。

Yungwei Kao graduated from Australian National University with a B.A. in music, majoring in cello. She loves to be a teacher, as well as a writer. She loves to listen and understand everyone of her students in every ways. She also loves to write and make beautiful, positive works. Yungwei Kao is now happily married with her husband in Los Angeles.

年幼時，在家庭相片背面塗鴉的囂張，
是她與生俱來的能力。
某日她老爸用5元銅板畫出許多空白圓圈，
她開心的在圓圈中自由畫上各種臉譜及表情，
那天，是她正式畫畫的第一天。
從那天起，她畫了很多年，直到現在都還沒停下。
她深信畫畫這件事，是她脫離母體來到人間後再生的臍帶，除非臍帶斷了、她掛了，不然她不打算停止。
此人曾在台灣及紐約舉辦多次小型個展及聯展，大型個展籌備中。

she used to create a lot of graffiti on the reverse side of families pictures when she was a kids, it seems to be her personal ’nature human right’. one day, her daddy used a coin to drew couple outline circles on paper, she started creating different facial expressions on it. then she officially called that day as: ’the very first day being an artist’
she keeps working on the same field till now.
for her, painting is the THING, just like the umbilical cord connects her creations and her own life, she won’t stop until she lost her very important, so-called "umbilical cord".
