湯瑪斯‧索威爾(ThomasSowell)

現任史丹福大學(StanfordUniversity)胡佛研究中心(HooverInstitution)資深研究員(RoseandMiltonFriedmanSeniorFellow)。於1990年，獲得美國企業研究所(AmericanEnterpriseInstitute)頒發之法蘭西斯‧鮑伊爾獎(FrancisBoyerAward)，並於2002年得到美國國家人文獎章(NationalHumanitiesMedal)，肯定在經濟學、歷史學、政治學多元化學術領域的成就。美國知名歷史學家約翰遜(PaulJohnson)也稱讚其為「美國最重要的哲學家」。
