The BiCMOS IC derived from CMOS IC and bipolar IC has brought in substantial impacts on the evolution of digital IC during the past 20 years. This book is one of the feew books on the BiCMOS digital integrated circuits during the past decades. This book presents for the first time a comprehensive analysis of the evolution¡A the performance limits, and the future trends on the BiCMOS digital ICs in terms of the technology¡A and the circuits. In this book¡A starting from the BiCMOS environment¡A via the fundamental operation principles and the device structures for advanced bipolar devices, compact bipolar device models suitable for analyzing BiCMOS circuits are analyzed¡A followed by the evolution of the bipolar circuits from TTL¡A I square L to ECL. Down scaling of the BiCMOS processing technology and devices is analyzed in terms of the device performance, followed by the basic BiCMOS digital circuits including the BiCMOS static and dynamic logic circuits.
