After stints as a New York City cab driver, social worker, Alaskan commercial fisherman, and copy-editor, he finally stopped living out of a backpack and settled in Taipei, Taiwan. He has taught English in area high schools, elementary schools and international corporations. Currently, he is the manager of a Business English training service in Taipei. He is a frequent contributor to area news publications and culture magazines. News analysis, politics and media studies are frequent topics for his articles. 美國紐澤西人，畢業於紐約州立大學普契斯學院（Purchase College, SUNY），取得哲學和人類學雙學位。 經歷過紐約市計程車司機、社工人員、阿拉斯加漁民、文字編輯等生活之後，他終於收起行囊，定居在台灣台北。他曾經在國小、中學和許多國際公司教過英語，目前在台北經營商業英語教學事業。其著作常見於國內新聞刊物和文化雜誌，文章擅長新聞分析、政治和媒體研究。
